Our Story

A legacy built on
trust and family.

Phoenix Agency didn't start in 2020. It started over four decades ago, when Richard Kniffin built The Viking Agency on a single principle — treat every client like family.

Founded by Kelly Kniffin Pacelli — and rooted in her father Richard's four decades of experience — Phoenix Agency carries forward a family tradition of exceptional, personal insurance service.

Kelly spent 25 years working alongside her father at The Viking Agency, learning not just the technical craft of insurance, but the human side of it — how to listen, how to advocate, and how to be there when clients need you most.

In June 2020, Kelly took the step her father had taken a generation before her: she founded her own agency. Phoenix Agency is her way of carrying that legacy forward while bringing it fully into the present day.

At the heart of everything Phoenix does is a philosophy that came from Kelly's mother, Paula Kniffin — "Treat others how you want to be treated." Paula passed away in January 2018, but her words are woven into every client interaction, every policy review, and every phone call Kelly and Richard take.
